NRA FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation
Hands on orientation to firearms, focusing on responsible handling of a handgun and what you need to know as a new purchaser of firearms.  

You will learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling, learn the parts of a handgun and its operation, care / cleaning of a firearm and basic shooting fundamentals. Students will receive the following: 

  • Basics of Pistol Shooting Handbook 
  • NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure 
  • Winchester / NRA Marksmanship Qualifications Booklet 
  • FIRST Steps Course completion certificate 

FIRST Steps Pistol is a (4) hour class and will include both classroom and on range training.   If you have your own firearm, please do not bring it to class -- bring it to Basic Pistol instead!!
